Japanese students visit Space

REPORTER: Kerstin, year 12
During March, Space Studio welcomed a group of students all the way from Nagano, Japan. In the morning they were paired with buddies, such as myself, and had a go at ice breaker activities. This often ended with in fits of giggles as we ‘attempted’ some of the activities. It was absolutely lovely to get to know more about them and really provided a unique opportunity to explore and compare our different cultures and find common interests. We learnt about the different types of Japanese (even seeing them translate our names into Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana) as well as learning some origami which personally I’m not very good at but hoping to improve with the help of my buddies.
