Trip to Cern

Following the success of the previous year’s visits to NASA Florida, Space Studio Banbury are organising a trip to CERN in Geneva in February 2018. This is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to develop their understanding of physics and chemistry.
CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is one of the world’s largest and most respected centers for scientific research. Built underneath Switzerland, it spans under 3 different countries and is the hub for physicists and engineers who are probing the fundamental structure of the universe.

The dates of the trip are Thursday 8th – Sunday 11th February 2018. The cost of the trip will be £395.00 which will include all of the following:

• Return flights from Birmingham to Geneva with EasyJet
• 3 nights full board accommodation at The Hostelling International Geneva
• Visit to science museum, Geneva
• Visit to CERN
• Trip on a cable car
• Transport to and from Birmingham Airport
