Students film food stories for festival

Over the last few weeks, students in year 12 have been working on plans for Banbury Big Feed, a community food festival taking place on campus on Sunday 24th September 2017.

This week, they welcomed three special guests - Sarah Williams from Banbury Food Bank, local resident Marta Kespka, and tech wizard Jeremy Bolduc. After demonstrations and training from Jeremy in using iMovie to record and edit video, groups of students interviewed Sarah about Banbury Food Bank, and Marta about her experiences of both Polish and English food.

Once completed, the films will form a strand of the festival, which is about celebrating Banbury's food stories, industry and culture as well as tackling issues such as poverty and food waste.

All year 12s at Banbury Aspirations Campus take part in the Aspirations Employability Portfolio (AEP) in which they develop workplace skills, confidence and contacts.
